PCG’s quarterly employee recognition program, aptly-named the EPIC Awards, is designed to help bring the firm’s four core tenets—Entrepreneurial Spirit, Passion, Impact, and Community—to life in a tangible way. Today, we are thrilled to announce that Megan Hawkes has been selected as PCG’s newest EPIC Awards winner in recognition of her Passion for engaging and serving others, both within and outside of PCG.
Megan led a project with the State of Minnesota to assess their behavioral health system, focusing on substance use disorder (SUD) services. She conducted numerous interviews, authored a significant portion of the final report, and built strong relationships with state project leads, meeting them in Minnesota both during and after the project. The final report was very well received, submitted to the legislature, and paved the way for additional work to develop Minnesota’s SUD strategic plan, awarded as a sole-source engagement.
“Megan continually displays her enthusiasm and tenacity in improving the lives of her community, be it the public health sector for which she is passionate about serving to help individuals lead healthier lives or her colleagues who are building their evaluation and project management skills as well as subject matter expertise.” – Karen Hallenbeck, Evaluation Director, Human Services
Megan is deeply passionate about public health and substance use prevention and treatment. In addition to her full project workload, she has led conference planning, presented at numerous conferences (American Public Health Association, National Association of County and City Health Officials, and others), helped design PCG’s opioid settlement fund landing page, and continues to expand PCG’s brand and network in this area. Her efforts have resulted in multiple website inquiries, RFP wins, and sole-source opportunities. Megan is always seeking potential partners to extend PCG’s reach and capabilities.
“Megan is Passion, it radiates from her in every environment she’s in. This passion translates to her going above and beyond for every client, putting herself in their shoes when thinking through solutions and ensuring the outcome is a value add. On a current project in CA, Megan is exhibiting Passion as she works with a client to garner employee feedback on a somewhat sensitive subject for the department. She is using her passion and advocating for the use of evaluation best practices while supporting the needs and sensitivity of the client and the workforce they are responding to. Megan’s Passion has been a part of the driving force of our Public Health business line development, and we are grateful to have her!” – Itta Johnson, Associate Manager, Human Services
Congratulations to Megan on this well-deserved recognition!
