Announcing Our FY25 EPIC Awards Winner for Passion!
PCG’s quarterly employee recognition program, aptly-named the EPIC Awards, is designed to help bring the firm’s four core tenets—Entrepreneurial Spirit, Passion, Impact, and Community—to life in a tangible way. Today, we are thrilled to announce that Alison Richards has been selected as PCG’s newest EPIC Awards winner in recognition of her Passion for engaging and serving others, both within and outside of PCG.
Alison leads PCG’s Education practice’s School-Based Services (SBS) COE Claiming Team. This team is directly responsible for our Direct Service claiming activities which generated $524M+ in FY24 client reimbursement. This accomplishment was pivotal in EDU’s record-breaking achievement of $1.3B in FY24 client reimbursement, exceeding the practice area’s "Build to a Billion" Medicaid objective. Alison's passion for this work and her team was integral to exceeding this goal. She led with motivation and a true solutions orientation, all while remaining excited and energized by the work we do. Since joining PCG in 2015, she has consistently received glowing reviews from the functional and regional teams she has supported.
“Alison has contributed to the success of our clients and PCG in countless ways. From her work as a client partner in North and South Carolina through to her leadership of the Medicaid Direct Services Claiming Team, she demonstrates client centricity, solution orientation, and subject matter expertise. She embraces continuous improvement, championing initiatives that, in FY24, contributed to our Direct Service clients recovering +$17M in school-based reimbursement as compared to the year prior. Additionally, leaders receive regular feedback about how others enjoy working with Alison because she is collaborative, effective, and knowledgeable.” –Natasha Newman, Associate Manager, Education.

As the leader of a restructured team, Alison has created opportunities for her team to collaborate and engage in improved high morale during what could have been a stressful time for her staff. She organized virtual team building and engagement sessions, encouraged participation in EDU-wide engagement opportunities, and created fun challenges to build team morale. Her team noted her passion as a major reason for their continued push during a stressful transition.
"Alison is an integral member and trusted partner across multiple teams. She not only goes above and beyond on her work, but her enthusiasm empowers others to jump in and work through processes and issues collaboratively. She is an asset to PCG by ensuring the work that we do is impactful and meaningful to our staff and for our clients.” –Melissa Rod, Lead Claims Analyst, Education.
