The James River Academy of Diplomacy serves students in grades 4 through 8, particularly those from diverse backgrounds in Richmond, VA. One highlight is their annual summer camp, where students can learn more about Model UN. The camp is completely run high school students. by This summer, PCG’s Richard Roberts II served as the camps first keynote speaker, after hearing about the program from work that he and PCG’s Brooke Bell collaborated on.

Roberts explained that it was a great experience to share his love of model UN and model Congress when he was a student. “It was an amazing experience to share how my experience many years ago have helped me over the years and are applicable in my current role leading the Data Quality team with Corp Tech.” He also got to sit in on a session and was impressed by the students’ enthusiasm and creativity.

Roberts is excited to serve as an advisor or chaperone for future events.
