Join Public Consulting Group’s (PCG) webinar, “From Risk to Resilience: 10 years of MA Office of Problem Gambling Services Innovations and Community,” on October 29, 2025, from 9-10 a.m. PT/12 – 1 p.m. ET. This session is part of the PCG Public Health Connect series and will focus on public health and problem gambling, featuring the important and unique work being done by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Office of Problem Gambling Services (OPGS) and the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center. OPGS will celebrate ten years of leading the public health response to problem gambling in the Commonwealth in January 2026.

Guest Speakers:
Victor Ortiz, MSW, LADC I, CADC II, Director of the MA DPH Office of Problem Gambling Services
Victor Ortiz is a social worker with over twenty-five years of experience in developing programs and services in the areas of addiction, youth development, child welfare, and behavioral health. He has worked extensively with a wide range of populations, focusing on addressing health disparities, promoting equity, and advocating for social justice. Victor has served in various professional positions aimed at improving access to care and advocating for individuals and families.
Ben Hires, Chief Executive Officer
Ben Hires represents the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center (BCNC), an organization dedicated to supporting the community through various programs and initiatives. Ben has been leading BCNC’s growth and community impact since 2020. He brings deep nonprofit experience from roles at the Boston Public Library and Boston Children’s Chorus. Recognized among Boston’s Most Influential, Ben serves on boards including Health Resources in Action and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He holds three degrees from Boston University.
