Connection and professional growth are priorities at PCG. Mentorship is a valuable way PCG staff can build connections across departments and grow professionally. These connections contribute to a culture of innovation and belonging. At PCG, we believe mentorship is more than an opportunity for mentees to learn from mentors; all participants can learn from and inspire one another. Mentorship is for everyone.
January is National Mentorship Month and a great time to highlight the exciting mentorship opportunities at PCG. Participating in a mentorship program can help staff at PCG advance their careers, build community across practice areas and departments, and strengthen leadership skills.
Mentorship Programs at PCG
PCG Mentorship Program
The PCG Mentorship Program is a new initiative and supports early-to-mid career employees in their development and helps senior staff build leadership and coaching skills. By encouraging cross-functional connections in a remote setting, the program strengthens PCG’s culture, broadens networks, and promotes knowledge-sharing to boost engagement, retention, and career growth.
ACP Mentorship Program
American Corporate Partners (ACP) works to decrease veteran and military spouse underemployment by connecting transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses with corporate mentors who can help guide them into civilian careers. Mentors can also learn from the unique experience of veterans and military spouses. ACP ensures every mentorship is successful by monitoring progress and providing personalized pairing based on mentors’ experience and mentee’s needs.
Disability:IN Mentorship Program
Disability:IN is the nation’s largest workplace disability advocacy organization. PCG is excited to partner with Disability:IN and honored to have PCG employees selected to serve as mentors in two mentorship programs.
- The NextGen Leadership Program connects PCG employees to college students and recent graduates with disabilities to focus on career readiness and employment outcomes.
- The Early Career Accelerator Program was designed by people with disabilities for people with disabilities. It pairs PCG employees with early-career employees to develop professional skills.
PCG Internship Mentors
PCG also pairs interns with a dedicated mentor for the duration of the internship program, who may work anywhere across PCG. Internship mentors serve as trusted guides and resources, offering support, insight, and professional development to help interns navigate the workforce as well as their experience at PCG. This intentional cross-functional pairing helps interns build meaningful connections beyond their immediate team and gain exposure to a range of departments, practice areas, and career paths within the firm.
