PCG Recognized as Apprenticeship Ambassador by U.S. Department of Labor
Public Consulting Group (PCG) is proud to announce its recognition as an Apprenticeship Ambassador in the U.S. Department of Labor’s Apprenticeship Ambassador Initiative. Established in 2022, this initiative aims to bring together industry, labor, education, equity and workforce leaders to partner with the department’s Office of Apprenticeship and promote Registered Apprenticeships as a valuable workforce strategy in high-demand industries.
PCG is one of 138 organizations selected for the third cohort of Apprenticeship Ambassadors, of which there are now 441 total, joining leaders from emerging and high-growth industries including manufacturing, energy, education, financial services, healthcare, and hospitality. Apprenticeship Ambassadors partner with the U.S. Department of Labor to:
- Promote and expand awareness of Registered Apprenticeship
- Identify and scale innovative practices and partnerships to modernize, strengthen, and accelerate the adoption of Registered Apprenticeship
- Increase access and support for underrepresented and underserved populations in Registered Apprenticeship
- Communicate the business case for Registered Apprenticeship as a mainstream workforce strategy for high-demand industries
Together, the third cohort of Apprenticeship Ambassadors collectively committed to developing over 500 new Registered Apprenticeship Programs in the first year, host over 1,200 outreach and recruitment activities, and hire more than 6,700 apprentices. PCG remains dedicated to this cause and will continue to help employers design, register, and manage apprenticeship programs to strengthen our nation’s workforce.
