Announcing Our FY24 EPIC Awards Winner for Entrepreneurial Spirit!

On October 22, 2019, the board of education for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) in North Carolina voted on membership of the district’s inaugural “Community Equity Committee” as part of an effort to better ensure equity across the district.

February is Black History Month, and this year’s theme is “Black Migrations.” Per the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH), this year’s theme emphasizes “the movement of people of African descent to new destinations and subsequently to new social realities.”
