Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD)


Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD), is a national nonprofit organization that improves the lives of people affected by ADHD through education, advocacy, and support. CHADD is in the forefront in creating and implementing programs and services in response to the needs of adults and families affected by ADHD through collaborative partnerships and advocacy, including training for parents and K-12 teachers, being an informative clearinghouse for the latest evidence-based ADHD information, and providing information specialists to support the ADHD community.

Institute for Information Management Bremen GmbH (ifib)


The Institute for Information Management Bremen GmbH (ifib) is a not-for-profit research and consulting organization at the University of Bremen. ifib's main fields of work are: e-government and educational technologies; these two branches are working closely together in joint projects.

Since 2003, ifib is doing empirical research and formative evaluation of ICT integration in public institutions. The educational technology branch of ifib conducted several research projects on data use in schools and is currently cooperating with different State Education Ministries in Germany. ifib hosted the first international conference of data-driven decision-making in schools which was documented in an edited book.

Modern Didactics Center


Modern Didactics Center is non-profit, non-governmental organization for continuing adult education and in-service training. Modern Didactics Center was established in 1999 as inter-university Center by an initiative of Vilnius Pedagogical University and the Open Society Fund-Lithuania.

They initiate, develop and run national and international projects, develop new programs, courses for initial teachers’ education and in-service training, deliver different training programs, create methodical materials for schools, provide consultations and expertise on project management, teaching & learning strategies, lessons planning & assessment, school community development, etc. The Center also organizes study visits, seminars, conferences, summer schools on different educational topics, organizes research on urgent educational issues, and publishes project products.

O’Neill Sea Odyssey (OSO)


O’Neill Sea Odyssey (OSO) was founded in 1996 by wetsuit innovator and surfer Jack O’Neill. A living classroom was created on board a 65-foot catamaran sailing the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary where 4th – 6th grade students from schools throughout Central California receive hands-on lessons about the marine habitat and the importance of the relationship between the living sea and the environment. OSO has served 80,000 students since its inception.

Stanford University's Understanding Language department - led by Dr. Kenji Hakuta and a senior team of faculty members - aims to heighten educator awareness of the critical role that language plays in the new Common Core State Standards.
