Mr. Hellzen serves as Chief Technologist for Public Consulting Group’s PCG Technology Consulting (PCG TC) unit. He performs project leadership and support roles for PCG government and private sector customers with specific emphasis on IT life cycle support for large, public sector enterprise systems.
Mr. Hellzen has more than 26 years of IT experience, including 16 years on state and federal government projects involving technical assessments and technical verification and validation of multi-year, multi-million dollar development projects. His experience also includes 10 years of technical management for a variety of private sector companies where he was responsible for all aspects of Information Technology (IT) and consulting on next generation software systems and industry standards.
Mr. Hellzen has worked for the PCG TC and its predecessor company for 11 years. Prior to joining PCG TC, Mr. Hellzen served as Chief Technology Officer for several private sector companies. In this role, he provided technical leadership and communicated the intersection of the technology with the business goals and objectives. Prior to that, Mr. Hellzen was part of the specification and development team creating new industry standards for the Process Control and Manufacturing Automation industries.

Mr. Hellzen studied Computer Science at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota and Chemistry at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
