CA EDD Awards TC Significant Contract Amendment

The State of California Employment Development Department (EDD) has been a client of PCG Technology Consulting (TC) for over 10 years. In an effort to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the State’s Unemployment Insurance (UI) program, the EDD initiated an enterprise approach to modernizing UI processes and technologies. AL Medicaid Agency Awards TC Significant Contract Amendment

The State of Alabama is leveraging both the Affordable Care Act (ACA) regulations and the A-87 exception to create a single centralized eligibility system to replace multiple antiquated less functional systems. This approach will lower costs to both the state and its federal partners while improving the experience for users as well as creating a more flexible, easily configurable system. Hawaii DHS Extends PCG Technology Consulting's IV&V Contract through December 2015

In 2012, the Hawaii Department of Human Services (DHS) decided to replace its legacy Medicaid eligibility system with a solution to modernize its system and support the Affordable Care Act requirements. The first phase of the project, known as the Kauhale (Community) Online Eligibility Assistance (KOLEA) project, went live on Oct. 1, 2013 when the state converted a majority of the Medicaid functionality from the legacy system to KOLEA. US Virgin Islands Added to PCG Technology Consulting's Portfolio

The Government of the Virgin Islands (GVI) is developing and implementing a modernized Integrated Eligibility System that will facilitate enrollment into coverage and determine consumer eligibility for all human services programs and subsidies, including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Medicaid and Children Health Insurance Program (CHIP). The Territory consists of four islands physically located in the Caribbean between the Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean; St. Thomas, St. Croix, St. John and Water Island. PCG Technology Consulting Continues to Add IT MSAs to its Portfolio across the Country

PCG Technology Consulting now has 18 state IT Blanket contracts across the country. The most recent addition followed the Tennessee Department of General Services (DGS) evaluation that saw PCG added to the DGS list of preferred IT vendors. TC now holds a contract for Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) services and for Systems Planning services with the state. This is the seventh state to select TC for its IV&V experience. PCG Partnership with Stewards of Change Leads to California Mental Health Services Oversight Project Win

PCG Technology Consulting (TC) has teamed with Stewards of Change (SOC) to conduct a feasibility study for the California Mental Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission (MHSOAC). MHSOAC's charge is to determine whether California's implementation of the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) is meeting the legislation's goals of improving the mental health of California residents through effective prevention, intervention, and treatment of mental illness and, if not, to recommend solutions.

Beginning in early November, the joint PCG TC / SOC project team will focus on reviewing the current state of the existing MHSA client and services data-collection and analysis systems; clearly define stakeholder information needs; present recommendations for improving the current systems and data infrastructure; and initiate the state and federal funding process required to implement those recommendations.

PCG Technology Consulting Wins DHCS Enterprise Project Manager

In August, PCG TC won a contract to provide Enterprise Project Manager Services for the Department of Health Care Services California Healthcare Eligibility, Enrollment and Retention System (CalHEERS) Project. Enterprise Project Manager Jojo Thomas (TC - Sacramento) will provide all standard project management processes (e.g., schedule management, risk management, issue management, quality assurance, change management, resources management and configuration management.)



Specifically, the enterprise project manager will manage the work teams throughout the department. In addition, the enterprise project manager will coordinate and liaise with Covered California, the CalHEERS project team, the Office of Systems Integration, and the counties to ensure that the policy, program, and technology teams and executives remain informed about and closely involved with the CalHEERS project. PCG Technology Consulting Contract Extension with Delaware Department of Health & Social Services

The Delaware Department of Health & Social Services (DE DHSS) has awarded PCG TC a contract extension, expanding the scope of IV&V services for the Delaware Eligibility Modernization (DEM) project.

The DEM project is the modernization of Delaware's Eligibility system, using an incremental approach to meet the requirements of the Affordable Care Act and to integrate with the Federal Data Service Hub. The project originally consisted of four releases to meet the state's goals before October 2013. These four incremental releases are considered Part 1 of the project. A second part has been added to the project to incorporate 11 social services functions into the system and to decommission the mainframe applications while managing the overall risk of large scale organizational change.
